It's that time of year, fall festivals are EVERYWHERE! With the weather being so compliant it's hard not to find something to do outdoors. Here is my list for free or almost free activities for the weekend in the KC area. Tell me whad'a you got going????

Louisburg Cider Mill College Weekend: October 7-9th $2 off admission. This is one of the best farms hands down for the fall. Tons of activities for families and those without munchkins. Cider and cider doughnuts are super good!

Crown Center Octoberfest: October 7-8th. There will be plenty of food and live music over the 2-day event.

Lenexa Chili Challenge: October 7-8th. Live music, food, fireworks and lots of family friendly activities.

Rock The Amp - Lees Summit Ampitheater: October 7th at 7 pm. Soul Root will be playing. Admission is $15 at the gate. All seating is general admission. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

First Fridays in the Crossroads: October 7th from 7 pm to 9 pm. Stroll along the crossroads district and view great local art and food scene.

Sporting KC Bacon Fest: October 8th from 10 am - 4 pm. They advertise as having bacon, beer and music.

Chuckwagon CookOff-Sorghum at Mahaffie Stagecoach. Saturday, October 8th from 10 am to 4 pm. $10 admission.

Shawnee Mission Fall Festival. October 8th from 10 am to 6:30 pm. There will be live music, food and plenty of other activities.

October Fest at Prairie Fire. October 8th from 11 am to 3 pm. Tons of family events like a petting zoo, beer garden, face painting, bounce houses and more.

South KC block Party in Grandview. October 8th starting at 12pm. There will be a ton to do here for the whole family. Strawberry Swing shopping (tons of vendors), kid activities, pet costume contest, beer garden, food and live music later in the evening.

Browne's 135th Anniversary Browne's Irish Market KC MO. October 8th from 1 pm to 7 pm.
