It's Here. WEEKEND, WEEKEND, WEEKEND.

Here are my top pics for around the KC area. These are intended for families and those without munchkins. These activities are free or almost free.

1. The Enchanted Forest at George Owens Nature Park.

2. Lenexa Trunk or Treat from 8 am to 11 am.

3. Holiday Treasures Craft Festival at Shawnee Civic Center from 9 am to 4 pm.

4. Howl-O-Ween Tails and Trails Dog Park in Grandview.

5. Halloween Howl at the Puppetry Art Institute off Winner Road in Independence. This looks to be my favorite for sure. 11:30 to 1:30 pm for $5. There are other dates coming up for this performance. Check out their website for additional details.

6. 3rd Annual Ghost Light at Roanoke Park. Food Trucks and Scary Stories. This event looks like it is free entry but other things that could be purchased. This is all outdoors so sure to bring your own seating and maybe some bug spray!!

7. And finally, Halloween on the Lawn at the Legends from 6 pm to 9 pm. The movie they will show is Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas. I am unsure of the food scenario, but I know there are restaurants close by.

And so there you go folks. There are obviously so many more activities going on than I have mentioned. It will be gorgeous out this weekend. Get out and enjoy it while we can and GO CHIEFS!!!!!!
