Do Food Mags Belong in the Trash Can?

I'm like many of you, I love getting inspiration for cooking from other sources. While I know that the main for most would be off the internet, I still enjoy browsing through magazines.

I do subscribe to a few magazines, (mostly due to covid), but find them hardly helpful in meal planning or much of anything else. Well maybe just making me hungry! They mostly make me feel like I am doing it wrong in my kitchen and give me a complex. Below find a few examples of what exactly I am referring to.

Do I really care about restaurant of the year? Probably not. Even though this is in Nashville, not too far, I guess.

While I personally love salads, my dear hubby does not. There are way too many of these recipes in here for my taste.

Do I honestly really care about high end hotels that serve these "oh so divine" dishes?

The Best New Chiefs??? Come on. Kudos to them, but I don't care.
I know there are those out there that might enjoy this type of read. Now that covid is gone, these will be too for me. What are your thoughts? Love the mags or hate them?
