David Letterman isn't the only one with a top 10.

With fall on the lookout there are so many things to do. I have listed below the top things to do in the KC area. Most are family friendly and free to attend.

1. Westport Art Festival. September 9th - 11th Free to attend

2. Kansas State Fair in Hutchison, Kansas. This runs from September 9th - 18th. There are obviously entrance fees and other fees for this.

3. Belton Fall Festival.

4. Greek Fest - September 9th - 11th. Kansas City, MO. There is mostly food, but there will also be live entertainment, and this is free to attend.

5. KC Auto Show at Bartle Hall. There is close free parking and tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for kids. There will be some food places on the inside.

6. Old Settler's Days - Downtown Olathe September 8th - 11th. There will be a carnival, food vendors, music and much more.

7. Turkey Creek Car & Motorcycle Show in Merriam, Kansas. The above kind of says it all. I have not personally been to this, but I do know that there is a farmer's market there as well.

8. Raytown's Festival of the Trails, Raytown, Missouri. September 10th. This looks to be an excellent family event. There are several activities that are free going on throughout Raytown, Missouri. These are all free events. It does look like there are beverages and food for purchase.

9. Prairie Village Jazz Festival - September 10th Harmon Park Prairie Village, Kansas. Live music starts at 2 pm. There will be food and beverages for purchase.

10. Spinach Festival - September 10th So Ko Park Trails in Lenexa, Kansas. September 10th. I have personally been to this event, and it is a lot of fun. There are several activities for the kiddos, food vendors and other craft vendors as a well.
